*(Premium Cutlery) Both options can go outdoors, and both will stain in places over time. The individual quality of each piece of cutlery I use will determine how quickly this happens. Some of the second-hand cutlery I acquire I call 'premium' because it is 18/8, 18/10 or is non-magnetic, these markings and characteristics are an indication it has more corrosive resistance and will therefore happen at a slower rate. Staining can be cleaned off with a stainless steel cleaner, like a bathroom cleaner used on taps ect. for example 'ciff'. It can also be sprayed with WD40 or Vaseline, which would also give it some extra resistance to the weather protection.
